Play safe
Enjoy the match and keep the boundary.
Team games are easier to enjoy with a stopping point, a spending limit and a way out of a bad lobby agreed in advance.
Set the last match first
Decide before the first queue how the evening ends: a number of matches or a clock time. In every game here the next match is one click away, so the decision is easier to make before the lobby opens.
Know what costs money
All five can be played free. Money goes on battle passes, cosmetics, premium currencies and, in Rainbow Six Siege, a paid edition for Ranked.
All five also sell random rewards in some form: Apex Packs, timed costume draws in Marvel Rivals, and random-item purchases that PEGI lists for Overwatch, Siege and SMITE 2. Paying for a random reward works like a lottery ticket. Set the limit in advance; a limit of zero is a valid one.
PlayQuay does not link to skin trading, case-opening or betting sites.
Check the age rating
Since PEGI's June 2026 criteria, Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, Apex Legends and SMITE 2 are rated 16 and Rainbow Six Siege 18. Ratings are listed on each profile.
Take pressure seriously
Every game here has mute and report tools for voice and text chat. Leaving a lobby that has turned hostile is a reasonable choice, and the next session can start with the group playing privately.
Use platform controls
Steam Families, Xbox Family Settings, PlayStation family management and Nintendo Switch Parental Controls can limit play time and spending for younger players.
